The Payphone Cluster incorporates a working public telephone as a central figure. Viewers are encouraged to pick up the phone and listen to the music of the dial tone. To make a call from that phone during the time of the installation connects both parties to the work, which includes Repository Work No. 012 (2006-2009), various media on wood, 7 1/2" x 11 1/4", AW/MRI (framed multiple) [scan of the artist's brain] (2010), inkjet on archival paper, 8 ½ " x 11", public payphone (with sound), framed instructions for use, folding table. Please note penciled graffiti by anonymous library goers.
